Kelly Fermoyle is a registered patent attorney who represents clients in patent litigation and related intellectual property matters. Kelly has represented clients in patent infringement cases in the Districts of Minnesota, the Northern District of Illinois, and the Eastern District of Texas.
A former firmware engineer, Kelly’s technical and professional background gives him an insider’s view of clients’ intellectual property needs.

Past Experience

During law school, Kelly participated in the Giles Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition and served as executive editor of the Intellectual Property Law Review and editor for the Mitchell Hamline Law Review. He worked as a law clerk in patent prosecution and an extern for the Honorable Chief Judge John Tunheim in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. Kelly was also a summer associate and law clerk at Faegre Baker Daniels during law school.

Personal Interests

Kelly stays active practicing (and sometimes teaching) yoga and running marathons. He finished in the top 50 in the Boston Marathon in 2014 and the top 25 in the Twin Cities Marathon in 2012 and 2013—the third Minnesotan finisher each year. In college, he was an NCAA Div. III All-American in cross country and track and field.
