Tom Froehle

Chair and Managing Partner


Tom Froehle is managing partner at Faegre Baker Daniels and chairs the firm's management board and executive committee. As managing partner, Tom leads the development and implementation of firm strategy. A forward thinker, he strives for constant innovation and adaptation to the changing needs and expectations of clients. Tom is committed to protecting and preserving the firm’s core values, including commitment to quality and service excellence, a culture of collaboration, and a respectful and inclusive work environment.
From 2012 to 2017, Tom served as vice chair and chief operating partner. As chair and chief executive partner of Baker & Daniels, Tom led the firm in its combination with Faegre & Benson to create Faegre Baker Daniels in 2012.

Public Finance Expertise

In his legal practice, Tom has served government and corporate clients for nearly 30 years. He combines transactional and finance skills with a deep understanding of government and related regulatory processes. Tom has served as bond counsel for a variety of governmental entities, including state instrumentalities, universities, school corporations, cities and related entities. He also has represented national and regional investment banking firms. In addition, Tom has represented corporate clients such as Honda, United and the NCAA seeking to partner with state and local governments on economic development incentives, public-private partnership and riverboat gaming transactions.
