Drew Soshnick Recounts Rewards of Pro Bono Service, Encourages Attorneys to Participate

The Indianapolis Bar Association and local legal service providers have been collaborating to provide pro bono help in family law cases since early 2013, Indiana Lawyer reported. In this first year, nearly 100 cases have been placed. Drew Soshnick of Faegre Baker Daniels, a pro bono volunteer, encouraged other lawyers to join the cause.

"Serving clients on a pro bono basis is a most rewarding part of our profession," Soshnick said. "For example, to be part of an appropriate child custody placement and see the look on the face of a gratified parent or grandparent is an indescribably good feeling that cannot be measured. All lawyers should volunteer their time to help those in need and experience these heartwarming situations."
